This five-day hybrid TPR workshop focuses on recent developments in empirical translation process research (TPR), interpreting, and localization. The workshop is targeted at students, early-career researchers, as well as young scholars in Translation Studies, Cognitive and Behavioral Sciences, and Digital Humanities. Participants will be introduced to the CRITT Translation Process Research Database (TPR-DB) and learn how to extract, interpret, and apply process data in empirical research. In addition, foundational training in Jupyter Notebook will equip participants with the basic skills to annotate, analyze, and visualize translation data.
The workshop includes two morning and two afternoon sessions per day that consist of lectures, practical sessions, and students' project discussions. A team of seven+ instructors will cover the various aspects of TPR, interpreting, and localization. There will be slots allocated for participants to present and discuss their own projects.
